Kachoufuugetsu (華鳥風月)

Kachoufuugetsu

Well… This is the first post I write on this blog.
I’m going to introduce a Japanese song that I’m listening repeatedly recently.

The name of the song is Kachoufuugetsu (華鳥風月) which means Beauties of Nature.
It’s produced by my favorite Touhou music circle, Yuuhei Satellite (幽閉サテライト).

I love this song because it’s really awesome and the lyrics is meaningful. Moreover, the voice of the vocal senya is really beautiful.

Here’s the music video of the song on Youtube and the English translation of the lyrics I found from Touhou Wiki.

Ah, vibrant like flowers
Ah, elegant like birds
Ah, pleasant even to give oneself to the wind
Ah, shone on by the moonlight

That which we call “righteous”
changes depending on one’s measure
If anything in this world is immutable,
it’s the beauties of nature, its majestic loveliness

After we regret,
we will learn, and then move on

So that we will never repeat
the sins we have made

“History” is
the growth of the world
when unchangeable emotions are reconciled
after they have wandered around, hurting each other

That which we call “righteous”
is an illusion unknown even to adults
If anything in this world is immutable,
it’s the beauties of nature, calming and dear to us

Is righteousness
something utterly pure?

We have known by being charmed
from the “right thing” within sin,
that love, unafraid of impurity
is also “righteous”

Because they are without form
and yet we try to understand them,
the beauties of nature, held within all of us,
are immeasurable, and thus meaningful

And so we roam in love

Even a mourning heart
and a fearful kindness are surely
the beauties of nature, held within all of us
Remain beautiful no matter what

Remain beautiful forever
